YES YES YES YES YES. Oh god, I've waited so long for this day to come. Well, even though it was at E3, but still. NEW PAPER MARIO GAME WITH GAMEPLAY LIKE THE FIRST TWO!

(And no, I don't hate SPM, I was just massively disappointed in it because the Paper Mario series is my all-time favorite game series ever, and SPM was such a departure from the series' style that made me love it so much in the first place. :c)

Anyway, this is my half-hearted attempt to create a topic speculating on it until it is released. Because OH GOD I'M JUST SO EXCITED ABOUT IT YOU KNOW?

So yeah, speculating gogogo.

...That is, if anyone here actually likes the series enough to want to talk about it.

Can't say that I've been a huge Paper Mario fan myself, though I did play the Thousand Year Door and thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'll get this one or not... It just depends on how much time I have and if I feel like it

What is the release date for it, btw? It sounds like it's for the 3DS, and that still has a while before it gets released.

I don't think there is one, yet. I've heard some people say it's gonna be a launch title, but I don't know if those claims are actually true.

Probably most of the titles from Nintendo for the 3DS will release at launch, or close to launch. They have to have a good amount of games for people to play.

This website says that it might be coming out March 25, 2011, but you can never be certain. I never played the original game, but I did play The Thousand Year Door, and I must say, it was pretty fun.

I'm almost certain it's a launch title. They have a full trailer available and it looks awesome.

Super Paper Mario was still good, it just wasn't the same battle system, so people were a little disappointed. PM3DS is going back to the style of the first two games; or so I've heard/seen. That's what it looked like from the trailer, anyway.

Oh yeah, launch date release! This is fantastic news!

I think this'll be the first time I'll ever bother getting a system the day it comes out, because no way am I waiting even a day to play a new Paper Mario game! D:<

Okay, okay, sooo... How about partner speculation?

I mean, Chain Chomp partner is automatically awesome in my book, but does anyone have any other ideas for partners they'd like to see?

I LOOOVE Paper Mario. I didn't start off with the N64, but did with Thousand Year Door--it was one of the few games I loved enough to push myself to get to the final boss.

Also of course had to try the original N64, which was also fun, and I enjoyed Super Paper Mario. Yeah, it wasn't the same exactly as the other two, but I wasn't really disappointed, actually. Granted I loved Thousand Year Door more, but yeah...

And OMGCHAINCHOMPPARTNERMORELOVE

I don't really know any specifics I'd want to see with any additions, because just from what I've seen I know I'll love it. Sooo... as long as they don't, say, suddenly somehow screw it up, I'll be happy.
